I'm a computer science major, so hear me out. Everytime there's a major lag/crash and all the servers suffer downtime, suddenly a new blizzard employee is 'born', and then the situation stabilises.

Doing a quick search on google on any of the words or even phrases in their replies will give you thousands of results.

CMs are nothing more than complex AI (Artificial Intelligence) that most likely takes all the power of the main server hosting the realms to compile. That is why sometimes their posts make no sense. No person monitors these forums. If this doesn't get deleted, just remember what you read.

I'm pretty serious here. I remember doing an assignment on something like this.

You're right. If a turing test is administered, chances are they would fail it. However, chances are our posts would get deleted if we suggested something like that.

Are we paying for a computer to moderate us?

I'm sorry, but I thought that "do the math" was quite a clever way of basically saying "I'm not here to force my opinions down your throat, even though I'm right. You are smart enough to figure it out by yourself, and here are the tools you can use to help you."

ive never had one of these "nonsense" replies... ive talked to a bunch of them about various issues ive had and it was no AI

maybe they give you nonsense replies because they dont want to talk to you?

I'm afraid Amanchara that your reaction from the CMbot is subjective to the nature of your queries. You must have said things to the effect of "how great this game is", to which it would reply, "Why thank you". Or maybe something more complex like "I very much enjoy the new PVP BG released." Where the keywords would be enjoy, PVP, and BG. Without getting too technical, he can reply in kind.

However, I purposely avoided such keywords, or mixed them up, to arrive at my conclusion.

Whenever a developer uses the forbidden alchemy to try to fix a server, the server ends up as a pus spewing sin against god. Because of this, a homunculi is born.

These homunculi grow in power, and eventually become CSRs.

It's equivalent exchange, Al.

To anyone in doubt, I assure you it's true. I've done my research.

To the total disbelievers, is there any other reason ALL the realm servers go down around the same time? I know you do not understand the details behind running a powerful server to hosts that many concurrent versions of the game running, but basically, they cannot afford to buy another similar server just to compile the CM code, and the "maintenance" time is not long enough.

There's no other way to look at it. You do the math.
