	14 Venomx Level 14 Human Rogue Realm:  Uther  1. Lonely, and sick of it. | 3/2/2006 2:41:50 AM PST There is no excuse for me being lonely in this game. I will be the first to admit that the reason I play MMORPGs is because I do not have a wide array of RL friends. I am not interested in loot, in killing, in questing, in exploring, or any of the other stupid things you people do in game. I am here to make friends, and so far I have none. I check statistics, and there are thousands of people playing the game. Am I so distasteful that even in a game people won't talk to me? I chose a very normal looking character, so I would fit in. Games don't let people see the physical you, and I was hoping that was all that kept people from making friends with me IRL. But now, what you people are telling me is that even when I look the same as everyone else, I'm not worth hanging out with. And don't give me the 'everyone goes through that' excuse. I've heard enough of that growing up. Everyone doesn't go through it. I see sometimes men and women together questing and laughing and emoting. If I follow them saying things, suddenly the mood darkens and they either ignore me or leave. BR> I'm sorry if I sound bitter, but you can see where I'm coming from. This is a social game. If anyone is interested in being my friend, and doesn't mind letting me be in charge of what we do in game, please tell me which realm you play on and I'll gladly redo all the time spent levelling this one.

I understand by now that yes I might have problems but I'm willing to work on it. This will be great, I'm willing to work on it together with you. I know you might have problems, and we can overcome anything together. Will you also make another character my level so that we can do things together? Or what is your phone number we can coordinate? Let's get this started, I have free time now.

Somehow, if we dont swing in rl, we basically dont swing here. I bet you have a ton of alts, yes? The really nice thing about WoW or any mmorpg is... if it doesnt work out you start an alt. LOL. You cant repeat life, but you CAN repeat WoW. I'm very happy to find a good guild. It makes all the difference. You no take candle!

I could just add to a lame joke cracked by some random stranger in General chat and I would've already made an acquaintance. Do you think people care what your character looks like in a game where you can play as gnomes, minotaurs, or flesh-lacking undead humans? No. They care about three things: 1) Your personality 2) Your class 3) How often you're around for them From what I see, you're: -Level 14(New to the game still. People usually don't even bother partying until level 20 or so) -A rogue(One of the least needed classes in the game for parties) I know this sounds harsh, but come on. Looks? WoW humans look like they've been taking steroids since creation. Everyone who sees you knows that's not what you look like underneath, and honestly they probably don't care what you look like. Let's get this started, I have free time now. I'm really not sure if this is a troll post or not, but on the offshot chance it isn't, I play Mal'Ganis horde and I alt a lot. Drop me a line if you're ever on the server and we'll see whats up. This may sound a bit odd considering i'm in a guild with about 500 people, but I never fit in socailly IRL when I was in highschool and always wanted someone to jsut acknowledge I exsisted. If you aren't trolling, drop me a line on mal'ganis. If you are, you managed to do something unique, you pulled me in. Grats 10/10. At any rate, I'm 60 on this char, but I've got a few (about 6) alts that could group with you as you level on Mal'Ganis horde if you really are lonely and just want peopel to hang with.

As to the giving orders thing, I'm pretty laid back about that as long as theres respect and chain of command. For example, if you're leading a group, order away. If you're in my guild and I'm an officer, sugguest away. There IS a differenct. FYI if you ignore both these posts, trolling, but still a 10/10.

Want a good way of making friends? Wait till a new server comes out, join a growing guild, instance with people that are leveling up, play the game alot so you can be there when people need you. For all I know the people I play with are blind/(I'd say mute but talk on vent alot so scratch that)/cripples/gnomes irl/etc etc. Do I care? Not really, they're friends. You've got to earn it here. And the best way to do that is to make people notice you through your actions, rather then your cries of desperation. Everyone gets lonely. Girls never flocked to me in high school or $!@% like that. But dig this, I made A LOT of friends. 2) Pertaining to the joke part, I really see no reason why WoW's community would sideline you and crack jokes about YOU most of the time, unless you caused 5 end-game wipes every night or ninjad an epic that you have no use for etc. 3) You sound too bitter for your own good.
